Jennifer Grant

Jennifer Grant is the author of five works of nonfiction: Love You More, MOMumentalWholehearted LivingDisquiet Time, and When Did Everybody Else Get So Old? Her first book for children, Maybe God Is Like That Too, was published by Beaming Books and won the 2017 gold medal in spirituality from the Moonbeam Spirit Awards for exemplary children’s literature. The second book in the “Maybe” series launches in May 2019 and is called Maybe I Can Love My Neighbor Too. In 2020, Discovery House publishers is releasing two educational concept board books by Jennifer: Consider the Birds (a counting book) and Consider the Lilies (a book about wildflowers and their colors.) With her friend Margot Starbuck, she created the e-guide Writing Nonfiction Book Proposals that Shine. A former newspaper columnist (Chicago Tribune and Sun Times Media papers), Jennifer has been published in Woman’s Day magazine, In Touch, Sojourners, and many other publications, online and otherwise. When she isn’t writing, she works with clients as a developmental editor and speaks at writing conferences including Writing for Your Life, Breathe, and Calvin College’s Festival of Faith and Writing on battling Impostor Syndrome, self-editing best practices, writing for children, and more. She has served as a judge several times for the Christy Awards and for other writing competitions. Jennifer is a lifelong Episcopalian and has been married to David for more than 30 years. They are the parents of four grown and nearly grown children and have two rescue dogs—all of whom they adore. Her literary agent is Adria Goetz at Martin Literary Management.
